The change in scenery is immediate, as the busy streets give way to open landscapes and fresh mountain air. The first stretch of the tour takes you through the village of Tahanout, followed by a stop near the village of Moulay Brahim, a place known for its spiritual significance. 

Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to pause and enjoy tea with a local Berber family, gaining insight into their daily routines, traditional bread-making methods, and the use of hammams in rural life. Continuing deeper into the mountains, you reach Asni, a small town known for its local markets and peaceful setting. From here, the road leads toward the Ourika Valley, where the landscape becomes greener and more fertile.

As you follow the Ourika River upstream, you’ll pass through several small villages before arriving at Setti Fatma, the most well-known point in the valley. This is where the mountains rise more dramatically, and where you can choose to join a local guide for a walk to the nearby waterfalls. The hike offers rewarding views and a closer look at the surrounding nature and village life.

After exploring the area, enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch at a riverside terrace. Freshly prepared tagine and a glass of mint tea complete the experience, all while overlooking the flowing river and surrounding greenery.

In the afternoon, the return journey to Marrakech offers additional optional stops. One of them is Le Paradis du Safran, a unique garden where saffron is cultivated alongside aromatic herbs and fruit trees. A guided visit explains the production process and introduces you to one of Morocco’s most valued spices.

A short distance away lies Anima Garden, a carefully designed botanical space created by artist André Heller. With sculptures, shaded paths, and stunning views of the Atlas Mountains, it provides a peaceful and artistic ending to the day.

As the sun begins to lower, the drive back to Marrakech takes you once again through the changing landscapes of the Atlas region. Arrival in the city is expected in the early evening, marking the end of a day filled with nature, culture, and authentic local experiences.
