- Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca
Arrival at the Casablanca airport and transfer to the Hotel Hotel accommodation with breakfast.
Day 2: Casablanca - Fez
Visit to the Hassan II mosque. Departure for Rabat. Visit the city of Rabat and the monuments: Alcazaba de los Oudaias, the mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan tower and from there to Meknes, the Mamora forest is bordered. Arrival in Meknes, a city that reaches its peak thanks to Sultan Mulay Ismail. The ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis are 27 km from Meknes. The holy city of Moulay Idriss is also visited. Continue to Fez.
Day 3: Day Tour Of Fez With Local Guide
The Mellah is a Jewish quarter located in the old cities of Morocco with a walled boundary. The Fes Mellah is also walled and it has a fortified gateway. These Jewish quarters are located near the royal residencies which enabled its inhabitants to be protected from the wrath of the Muslim populace. The Fes Mellah was once solely inhabited by Jews. This was the first "mellah" in Morocco and originated in 1438. In the early 14th century it was founded by the Merinids, beside Fes.
The Madrasa Bou Inania is a madrasa founded in AD 1351–56 by Abu Inan Fais, who also founded the Madrasa Bou Inania in Meknes. The madrasa functioned as both an educational institute and as a congregational mosque at the same time. It is the only madrasa in Fes which has a minaret.
A cooperative where old techniques of how zellij and pottery is made. Option to participate in making zellij tile or pottery making. Great for shopping for a purchase of fabulous pottery, zellij tiled tables, zellij fountains and more.
The dyers market, located along Rue de Teinturies, is the best place to see the dying vats which have been used for centuries to soak the skins of sheep, goat, cows and camels after they have their hair and flesh removed. You will see many tanned hides colored with natural pigments ranging from shades of brown, black, turquoise fuchsia, yellow and orange.
The Chourara or the Tanner's Quarters is the most lively and picturesque souks in Fès. The Tanneries are often located near watercourses like the Wadi Fès and at a distance from residential areas due to the strongly unpleasant smells they produce. See the wide array of leather work, a tradition of Fes.
Day 4: Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Merzouga
At 8 am, we will pick you up at the hotel and drive to Merzouga crossing the Middle Atlas, a 350-kilometer mountain range from south-west to north-west. On the way, we will cross cities like Ifrane, nicknamed the "Moroccan Switzerland" for the architecture of their houses, and Azrou, one of the most famous Berber cities of Morocco. We will cross the valley and the gorges of Ziz and cross cities like Midelt or Erfoud. From Erfoud, we will take a desert track to Merzouga. We will spend the night in a hotel next to the desert entrance.
Day 5: Enjoying The Merzouga Desert
On the second day, we will devote to enjoying the most spectacular part of the Eastern Sahara. We will enter the desert in 4X4, visit nomadic villages, see oases and cross the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After the road, we will visit the famous village of Khamlia where are the gnawa. The descendants of the slaves arrived from Africa and we will appreciate their amazing folk music. At dusk, we will return to the hotel to take the camels that will take us to the Berber camp in the heart of the dunes, where we will dine and spend the night.
Day 6: Merzouga - Rissani - Toudra Gorges - Dades Vally
After breakfast we will continue our route towards Boulmane Dades (Gorges du Dades). We will arrive at Rissani, capital of the Tafilalet region, where we will walk through the animal market as well as its souk. We will continue through the Ziz Valley until we reach Erfoud, to visit the fossil quarry and see how they are transformed into real works of art, tables, washbasins and other pieces worthy of your attention. We continue with the trip to the Gorges of Dades where we will spend the night. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Dades Gorges - Ouarzazate Kasbahs - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
In the morning, we will go to the famous Dades gorges. In our tour, we will see landscapes of singular beauty, where a series of oases of greenery are fed by the river Dades. The valley narrows gradually to give way to a thick series of limestone blocks with vertiginous walls "Dadès Gorges" a pleasure for the eyes. We will continue by road and about 12 km. we will go by track, we will exceed the mountain of Amgoun, the valley of the roses and the palm grove of Skoura with its kasbahs. Arrived in the afternoon in Marrakech and transfer to the hotel.
Day 8: Marrakech Guided City Tour
After breakfast we will visit the city, full of places of unparalleled architectural and cultural value, and the famous, exotic and frenetic Jemaa el Fna Square, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, located at the entrance of the Medina Night in the same hotel.
Day 9: Marrakech - Casablanca Airport
At the agreed time, we will move to the airport and end of the trip.
