Day 1: Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Valley Dades
Your trip begins early in the morning with pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech around 7:30 AM. Soon after leaving the city, the road begins to climb toward the impressive High Atlas Mountains, where winding routes reveal wide views of valleys, terraced fields, and remote Berber settlements built from earth-colored stone.
The drive continues through the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in Morocco, offering several scenic stops for photos and short breaks. As you descend from the mountains, the landscape slowly changes, leading to the remarkable Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
This historic fortified village, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Morocco’s most iconic landmarks. With the help of a local guide, you will walk through its narrow alleys and learn about the centuries-old architecture that once served as an important stop along ancient caravan routes. The kasbah has also appeared in well-known productions such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After lunch near the site, the trip continues to Ouarzazate, a city famous for its film industry. Here you may choose to visit the well-known Atlas Film Studios, where many international movies have been produced.

Day 2: Casablanca - Fez
Visit to the Hassan II mosque. Departure for Rabat. Visit the city of Rabat and the monuments: Alcazaba de los Oudaias, the mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan tower and from there to Meknes, the Mamora forest is bordered. Arrival in Meknes, a city that reaches its peak thanks to Sultan Mulay Ismail. The ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis are 27 km from Meknes. The holy city of Moulay Idriss is also visited. Continue to Fez.

Day 2: Boumalne Dades → Tinghir → Merzouga
The road continues east toward the oasis town of Tinghir, surrounded by thousands of palm trees and ancient mud-brick villages. A stop at a scenic viewpoint offers an excellent perspective of this green valley stretching between rocky mountains. Nearby lies one of Morocco’s most impressive natural landmarks: Todra Canyon. Here, towering limestone cliffs rise high above a narrow riverbed, creating a spectacular setting for a short walk along the canyon floor.
From Todra, the journey moves deeper into the desert region. On the way, you will reach Rissani, a historic town known as the birthplace of Morocco’s ruling dynasty. Its traditional market is famous for local products, especially dates harvested from the surrounding palm groves. By late afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga, a small village located at the edge of the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes. Tonight you will stay in a comfortable lodge close to the desert, where dinner will be served while the quiet atmosphere of the Sahara settles in for the evening.

Day 3: Merzouga → Erg Chebbi Dunes → Desert Camp
The day begins with breakfast before visiting the nearby village of Khamlia, where residents share their unique musical traditions rooted in African heritage. Here you will have the chance to listen to traditional rhythms and learn about the culture of local desert communities. Later in the afternoon, preparations begin for one of the most memorable parts of the tour. A camel caravan will take you across the sweeping dunes of Erg Chebbi, where the soft golden sand stretches as far as the eye can see.
Along the way, the changing colors of the dunes during sunset create an unforgettable desert scene. Upon reaching the camp, you will be welcomed with traditional hospitality before settling into your private tent. Dinner is served under the open sky, followed by local music around the campfire. Day 4: Merzouga → Midelt → Fes
Early risers may wish to wake before dawn to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a peaceful moment as the desert slowly brightens with the first light of day. After breakfast at the camp, the journey toward Fes begins. The route first passes through the wide Ziz Valley, where thousands of palm trees line the valley floor between rocky hills and small villages.
Continuing north, the scenery changes again as you reach the cooler climate of the Middle Atlas Mountains. A stop in the cedar forests near Azrou offers the chance to see the famous Barbary macaques, a species of monkey that lives in this region. The drive then passes through Midelt, a town located between the High and Middle Atlas ranges, before continuing toward the historic city of Fes. Arrival is expected in the late afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or riad.
