Day 1: Arrival in Fes

Continue into Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will visit Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, and the traditional tanneries. Day 2: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Merzouga
Travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture, then continue to the cedar forest near Azrou, where Barbary macaques can be seen. After a break in Midelt, drive through the Ziz Valley, known for its extensive palm groves. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga. Here, switch to camels and cross the dunes at sunset.
